Tales of Greed – Moral stories that are worth a read

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe and healthy. Another one from the PTJ universe only this one is a little different so the review will be more like the one I did with Api Bungaku. Anyway there’s only a small description of events ahead so don’t worry, only a little bit of SPOILERS.

This Webtoon is very different in the fact that it’s episodic meaning that one arc contains a few characters and things they do and the next arc completely shifts to a different setting with no relevance to the first one. You could think of it like a collection of short stories which actually would be the best way to describe it. These stories are aptly titled, “Tales of Greed” because the stories are all stories of people having supernatural occurances happen around them and trying to exploit them and their greed teaches them a good lesson. While some of these are wholesome as a way of pacing the stories, most are dark and disturbing.

Since the Webtoon moves to different characters so often we don’t get to see every character in great depth but what we do see actually tells us a lot about the characters, some are simple people who want more and more from the world, the others are people tired of the world and want revenge on it. Either way we get to see their morals and values fairly quickly because of the situations that they are put in.

The Webtoon gets you sets you sucked in right from the start with it’s intense stories. The fact that it doesn’t shy away from anything makes it very good because we get to see some of the worst things that people do and them getting karma for it while also seeing some fairly disturbing things that I don’t think I should write over here. The Webtoon can be funny at times and as I said also wholesome but some of them gets scary psychological, things that if you think about, will really scare you.

The lesson is too simple, greed will lead to your downfall. In all the stories, the people who use the powers that they have been granted for hurting others or taking what isn’t theirs, lose out and have to face their karma.

The Webtoon can be considered complete at 39 chapters though the author has said that there will he more stories in the future. I have loved this short Webtoon that I binged.
