Live-Action My Home Hero Film's Trailer Reveals More Cast, Theme Song

Kenjiro Tsuda, Ryūbi Miyase, Danshun Taketawa, more join cast; Eve performs "Insomnia" theme

The official website for the live-action film of Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki's My Home Hero manga unveiled a new trailer and visual for the film on Wednesday. The trailer reveals more cast members for the film, and also reveals and previews the film's theme song "Insomnia" by Eve.

The film will open in Japan on March 8.

The project also includes a live-action series that premiered on MBS and TBS' "Dramaism" block on October 24 last year, and ended on December 20. The film will conclude the story of the series.

The cast for the live-action works includes:

Takahiro Aoyama directed the series. Susumu Funabashi penned the scripts. Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music.

Yamakawa and Asaki launched the manga in Weekly Young Magazine in May 2017. The manga's 22nd volume shipped on September 6. The manga entered a hiatus after it ended its second part in October 2021, and resumed with its third and final part in June 2022. The final arc picks the story back up seven years after the second part.

Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga, and started publishing it digitally on February 28.

The manga centers on a salaryman who has a reliable wife and a daughter in university who can sometimes act a bit rebellious, but has a happy life in his own way. Until one day he finds out his daughter has been beaten, and thus begins his journey into a dangerous world to protect his family.

The manga's anime adaptation debuted on April 2 on Tokyo MX and BS-NTV. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and started streaming an English dub on April 16.

  Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME Announced for Mobile and PC First trailer debuts for Akatsuki Games-developed title The colossal thrills of Naoya Matsumoto's  Kaiju No. 8   are heading to mobile and PC in a newly announced game currently titled  Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME . The official accounts shared a reveal trailer for the project, which Akatsuki Games is developing and distributing for mobile devices and PC, with production and promotional cooperation from TOHO and Production I.G.
